Terms and conditions for KURS
This is a translation. The Danish version is the binding one. Read it in Danish.
This is the agreement between you and KURS in plain language. These terms never limit the rights you have under the law as a consumer. If anything is unclear, the interpretation that is best for you applies.
1. Who the agreement is with
- KURS is provided by Christian Bisgaard, Skanderborg, Denmark ("we"). Until KURS has a CVR number (the Danish business registration number), it is Christian as a private individual who is behind KURS and is your contracting party. The CVR number will be registered at the beginning of December 2026 – after that, the business's name, address and CVR number will be shown on the KURS website under Contact.
- You can always write to us at kontakt@getkurs.com.
- Inside KURS, you can also write to Christian under Help › Write to Christian (section 6a).
- Payment – once it opens: Until payment opens, you cannot buy a subscription to KURS, and KURS never asks you for a payment card. Payment opens at the earliest at the launch on 1 December 2026 – once it is open, you can buy under Plans in KURS. From then on, the subscriptions are sold by our reseller Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle becomes the Merchant of Record: it is Paddle that sells you the subscription, takes the payment, sends the receipt and is responsible for VAT, refunds and customer service relating to the payment. Paddle's terms of sale (Paddle Buyer Terms) apply to the purchase itself.
- These terms apply to KURS – the app, your plan and your licence.
2. What KURS is – and is not
- KURS is a tool for people who buy and sell second-hand goods: inventory, prices, messages, orders, accounts and overview.
- KURS is an advisory tool. KURS suggests prices, times and messages based on your own figures, but you decide yourself. You are responsible for your own prices and your agreements with buyers and sellers.
- KURS never does anything on a platform for you. KURS does not log in, uses no bots, fetches nothing from the platforms and alters no photos. You do things yourself on the platform and mark them in KURS afterwards. Imports only take place from files you have downloaded yourself and from texts and emails you give KURS yourself.
- KURS is not affiliated with Vinted or any other platform. The names are only mentioned to say which platforms KURS can help you with.
- Figures about the future – for example chance of selling, time to sell and forecasts – are estimates based on data. They are never a promise of what you will sell or what you will earn.
3. Your responsibility
- You are responsible for complying with the platforms' terms and rules, for example about who may sell what, what kind of account you must have and what listings and photos must be like. The Rules radar in KURS is an aid, not a guarantee.
- You are responsible for your own tax and VAT. What KURS says about tax, VAT and reporting is information – not advice. Talk to the Danish Tax Agency (SKAT) or an accountant about your own situation.
- You must not use KURS for anything illegal or to circumvent the platforms' systems.
- Your licence is personal. You must not share it, resell it or modify KURS so that the plans do not work.
4. Your data
- Everything you store in KURS – items, sales, orders, expenses, vouchers and profiles – is stored on your own computer. We have no access to it.
- The only things that go over the internet are what you switch on or send yourself: the mail autopilot fetches your emails from Vinted and the carriers directly from your email provider to your computer (nothing passes through us), shared learning shares combined figures from your sales (only if you say yes), a support message is only sent when you send it yourself, AI in KURS sends what the task requires to Claude from Anthropic (also only if you say yes – section 11a), and error reports are only sent if you switch them on. In addition, KURS fetches updates from GitHub, where the KURS releases are published. What is sent where is described in the privacy policy.
- If you have a subscription, our licence server only sees what is needed for your plan: the licence, your computers (a random ID per installation) and the payment from Paddle. Otherwise, the server only sees what you switch on or send yourself: the anonymous usage figures, shared learning's combined figures, the messages you choose to send yourself – and what you send to AI in KURS, which the server forwards without storing it.
- Shared learning – only if you say yes: KURS then shares, once a week, combined figures from your sales (never an individual sale, names, buyers, messages, photos, purchase prices or profit), so that everyone's price suggestions get better. If you have a key from us, it goes along encrypted – with your name and email address – so that each key only counts once; it is not stored. You can always say no again in Settings › Data – then your contribution is deleted. If you are under 18, it cannot be switched on. Everyone gets shared knowledge, and nothing in KURS depends on your answer. What is shared, and how long it is kept, is described in the privacy policy (section 5a).
- Your data is never locked. You can always view, edit, delete and export it – on every plan, also when a trial, a key or a subscription has ended.
- You are responsible for having a copy yourself. KURS takes a copy of the database on the computer once a day, and Pro has encrypted backup to a folder you choose yourself.
- How we process the little information we receive about you ourselves is described in the privacy policy.
5. Plans, trial and beta
- KURS has a free plan (Free) and paid plans (Basic, Pro and Market). What is included in each plan is shown on the website under Pricing and in KURS under Plans.
- The trial: New users get 30 days of Pro from the first time they start KURS – free of charge and without a payment card. This also applies if you have received an invitation from us: the invitation's key is valid until the date stated in it, and if it ends before your 30 days have passed, the trial continues for the rest of the time.
- No automatic payment: The trial and an invitation never turn into a purchase by themselves. You do not have to give a payment card to try KURS or to use an invitation, and no bill will follow.
- Afterwards, KURS carries on with Free. All your data is still there, and you can view, edit and export it.
- Beta: Until the launch on 1 December 2026, KURS is in beta. KURS changes quickly, and there may be bugs – let us know under Help › Write to Christian if something is not working, and make a copy of your data (section 4).
6. Age
- You must be 18 or over to buy a paid plan.
- If you are under 18, you can use Free in the calm edition – without a trial, reminders or prompts to buy. A plan that an adult has bought for you also works in the calm edition.
- KURS asks about your age when you open a profile for the first time. KURS never asks for ID.
6a. Write to Christian
- Under Help › Write to Christian, you can write to Christian, who makes KURS. The reply comes in KURS. We reply as quickly as we can – but we cannot promise a reply within a specific time.
- A thread is closed when nothing has happened in it for 30 days, and it is deleted 60 days after it was closed. Write a new message if you need more help.
- If your version of KURS cannot send by itself, KURS opens an email to kontakt@getkurs.com with your message, which you send yourself.
- Do not write more about other people than you need to – buyers' names or addresses, for example, are rarely needed. What is sent along, and how long it is kept, is described in the privacy policy (sections 6a and 6b).
7. Subscription – once payment is open
This section applies once payment has opened (section 1). Until then, you cannot buy a subscription, and no one can take money from you.
- You start the purchase in KURS, and you pay with Paddle in your browser. Before you pay, you can see the plan, the price and how often you pay. Prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) including VAT.
- A subscription renews automatically for one period at a time – a month or a year – until you cancel it. Paddle takes the payment at each renewal.
- You can cancel at any time under "Manage or cancel" in KURS or via the link in the receipt from Paddle. The cancellation takes effect from the end of the period you have paid for: you keep the plan until the end of the period, and there are no further payments.
- If you change plan, the new plan takes effect immediately, and Paddle works out the difference for the rest of the period.
- If Paddle cannot take a payment, Paddle tries again. In the meantime, you keep the plan for up to 14 days after the end of the period. If the payment does not succeed, the subscription stops, and KURS carries on with Free.
- If we raise the price of your subscription, you will be notified at least 30 days in advance. The new price only applies from the next period, and you can cancel before then.
- KURS activates your plan by itself once the payment has gone through – you do not have to enter anything. If you want to use the plan on another computer, you will find your licence key in KURS.
8. Your licence: 2 computers and 30 days without internet
- If you have a subscription, your licence can be used on 2 computers at a time. You can release a computer yourself in KURS, e.g. when you change computer.
- KURS checks your subscription with our licence server when there is an internet connection – normally once a day. Without a connection, the plan works for 30 days from the last check. After that, KURS runs on Free until it can check again.
- Setting the computer's clock back does not give you more time.
9. When the plan ends
- If your plan expires, is cancelled or stops, KURS carries on with Free. All your data is still there and can be viewed, edited and exported.
- If you have more items or sales accounts than Free has room for, you can still view, edit and sell them. You just cannot create new ones until you are below the limit or choose a plan again.
10. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal
- When you buy a subscription, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day of purchase. It applies to your first payment – not to later renewals.
- You withdraw using the withdrawal button in Paddle's customer portal (under "Manage or cancel" in KURS or via the link in the receipt from Paddle) – or by writing to us. You do not have to give a reason. Paddle refunds the full amount no later than 14 days afterwards, in the same way as you paid. Your plan stops, and KURS carries on with Free.
- Access straight away: KURS is digital content, and your plan takes effect as soon as you have paid. Under the law, the right of withdrawal for digital content lapses once you have been given access – but only if you have expressly agreed in advance to get access straight away and have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. Paddle may ask you for this when you pay.
- Our promise: Even if you have agreed to get access straight away, you get the full amount of your first payment back if you withdraw within 14 days.
- Everything about refunds, cancellation and renewals is in our refund policy on the website under Refunds and withdrawal.
11. Market as a yearly plan
- The Market plan as a yearly plan costs more than 2,000 DKK. Under sections 28–29 of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven), you can therefore cancel it with 1 month's notice to the end of a month once 5 months have passed, and get back the payment for the prepaid whole months after the cancellation.
- This applies to all yearly Market plans – also with the Founder price. Write to us, and we will arrange the cancellation and the refund through Paddle.
11a. AI in KURS
- KURS can use AI – Claude from Anthropic – to write a suggestion for your listing, to shorten, make specific or check a text, and to understand your question in the search. AI is only used when you have said yes, and you can switch it off under Settings › AI. Without AI, everything in KURS works. If you are under 18, AI cannot be switched on.
- An AI answer is a suggestion. You choose yourself whether to use it, and you are responsible for your listing – read it through before you list it. AI can make mistakes.
- KURS asks the AI to use only the item's facts and never to write a condition, fit, size or measurements that are not in your details, or to change your promises (e.g. dispatch and packing). Check the text anyway – you are the one making promises to the buyer.
- Your plan includes a number of AI suggestions per month – this is shown under Plans. When they have been used, KURS carries on writing with its own text engine.
- What is sent, who processes it and how long it is kept is described in the privacy policy (section 11a).
12. Founder
- Founder price: 50% off the plan you have – Basic, Pro or Market, monthly or yearly – for as long as your subscription runs without interruption. If you change plan, the discount goes with you. Market costs, for example, 124.50 DKK a month for a Founder.
- If you cancel the subscription, or it stops because the payment does not succeed, the Founder price is gone. A new subscription costs the full price. You keep the Founder badge, even if you cancel – it is only the price that stops.
- There is a limited number of places. As long as there are some left, the number is shown on the website under Pricing. You become a Founder with a personal start code from us or an invitation code from another Founder, while there are places. Your place is taken when your Founder plan is active for the first time.
- During the beta, an invitation from us can also make you a Founder – even if we did not know each other beforehand. You are then shown as a Founder in KURS while the invitation is valid, and when payment opens, you get a start code from us so that you can buy with the Founder price while there are places.
- As a Founder, you get your own invitation code for your friends. When the places have been used up, an invitation code gives 99 DKK off the first payment. All paying customers get an invitation code that they can pass on.
- The Founder price does not depend on whether you send us anonymous usage figures or say yes to shared learning. That is always voluntary.
- The codes are personal and cannot be exchanged for money. You can use one code per purchase, and only when you buy in KURS.
13. Keys and invitations from us
Before buying in KURS has opened, you can get a key directly from us – as an invitation, which is free, or bought, for example with MobilePay, cash or bank transfer.
- A key is valid until a fixed date, for example 30 days from the day we make an invitation, or 12 months for a purchased key. It does not renew by itself, and no bill follows afterwards. If you want to continue with a purchased key, you get a new one that is valid from the old key's expiry date.
- The price of a purchased key is the total price – no fees are added on top. As long as we are not VAT-registered, there is no VAT.
- If you have bought a key, you always have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the purchase is agreed – we do not ask you to waive it. Write to us before the deadline, and you will get the full amount back no later than 14 days afterwards, in the same way as you paid. At the same time, remove the key from KURS.
- A Founder key costs half price. When buying in KURS opens, you can get a start code and switch to a subscription with the Founder price.
- If you have both a key and a subscription, the highest plan applies. When a key expires, KURS carries on with Free – or with your subscription or the rest of your trial.
14. Defects and liability
- If KURS has a defect, you have the rights that the Danish Sale of Goods Act (købeloven) gives you: that we fix the defect, a proportionate price reduction, or that you terminate the purchase and get your money back. Let us know within a reasonable time after you discovered the defect.
- KURS is an advisory tool. We are not liable for indirect losses – for example a sale that did not happen, a lower price than hoped for or a sanction from a platform – unless the loss is due to us having acted with gross negligence or intent.
- Beyond what the law always entitles you to, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for KURS in the last 12 months.
15. Updates and changes to the terms
- We develop KURS continuously. KURS fetches new versions by itself – from GitHub, where the KURS releases are published, or from our server – checks the signature before a new version is installed, and starts using it the next time you start KURS. You can switch off automatic updates in Settings. If a new version cannot start, KURS goes back to the previous one by itself.
- If we change the terms significantly, KURS shows you the new terms, and you must accept them again to continue using KURS. If you say no, your data is still on your computer, and you can always take it with you.
16. Disputes and governing law
The agreement is governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you always keep the protection that the mandatory rules of your own country give you. Write to us at kontakt@getkurs.com if you are not satisfied – we can usually find a solution. If we cannot, you can complain via forbrug.dk (Nævnenes Hus, the Danish consumer complaints service). If you have paid via Paddle, you can also send complaints about the payment itself to Paddle via the link in the receipt.
